Two People Dead in Arizona Bus Crash

Bus crash kills two passengersTwo Chinese tourists died in a recent tour bus crash in Kingman, Arizona.

The bus was headed from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Grand Canyon West when it drifted off the highway and turned over several times, CNN reports.

The bus was carrying 11 passengers and the driver. Two passengers died at the scene, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

According to azcentral.com, many passengers were taken to hospitals in the area and several have since been discharged. Two other passengers remain in critical condition, and one is in serious condition. The driver sustained minor injuries.

It is not clear whether all of the passengers on the tour bus were Chinese tourists, according to the news source.

The bus belonged to TBE Bus Charter and Tours, which had the highest possible safety rating granted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, reports the news source. The company’s only crash on record prior to this incident was a crash in 2008 that resulted in two injuries. The company also has two speeding violations on record since June 2008, according to the news provider.
