Legal Claims for Taxotere® Chemotherapy Users
The chemotherapy drug Taxotere® (also known as Docetaxel) is FDA-approved and commonly used in the treatment of breast cancer. It is also approved to treat certain lung, prostate, stomach and head and neck cancers. Over the last decade, studies have linked Taxotere® to permanent hair loss in women, but its manufacturer, Sanofi (formerly known as Sanofi-Aventis and by other names) failed to warn its users of this significant risk.
Goldberg & Osborne attorneys with experience representing injured patients against large multinational pharmaceutical companies are investigating potential claims on behalf of people who may have been injured by Taxotere® .

Taxotere® Permanent Hair Loss
Chemotherapy is widely known for causing hair loss (alopecia) in patients. However, this hair loss is considered temporary and usually grows back within three to six months of treatment.
In December 2015, the FDA reported that permanent cases of alopecia are an adverse reaction to the use of Taxotere® following numerous studies and individual reports. Taxotere’s prescribing information was subsequently updated by Sanofi the same month. The brief mention of the drug’s risks for persistent alopecia in the “common side effects” section now reads: “in most cases normal hair growth should return. In some cases (frequency not known) permanent hair loss has been observed.”
