Passenger sues after being injured in car crashNicole Cravens of Madison County, Illinois, recently filed a car accident lawsuit against the driver of a vehicle in which she was a passenger in August of 2009.

According to the Madison-St. Clair Record, Cravens was riding in Dominick Canterbury's Plymouth Neon when Canterbury allegedly failed to properly turn the vehicle and caused a collision.

Cravens filed a personal injury lawsuit against Canterbury for at least $50,000 plus costs, according to the news provider.

Her lawsuit claims that the car crash caused her to sustain injuries to her neck, legs, left arm, back and body, according to the news source. It is also claimed that Cravens became sick, lame, sore and disordered following the crash, and has sustained emotional suffering and anguish, the news provider reports. The consequences of the crash have also allegedly prevented her from participating in daily activities.

Cravens reportedly accuses Canterbury of negligence in keeping his vehicle under control, failing to drive at a reasonable speed and failing to carefully watch for other vehicles.
