54th Street Grille Customer Claims He Found Broken Plate Fragment in FoodA Missouri man who dined at the 54th Street Grille in May of last year claims he needed costly dental work after biting down on a piece of broken plate that was in his meal.

Mark Neville claims that the broken plate shard that was allegedly present in the dish he was served at the restaurant caused him to fracture two teeth as well as causing him permanent and painful oral injuries, the St. Clair Record reports.

Neville seeks $50,000 in damages from Kellan Restaurant Management Corporation, doing business as 54th Street Grille, in his personal injury lawsuit. He claims that the defendant knew that a plate had broken near food but failed to undertake the proper inspection procedures or warn customers that a shard from the broken plate may be present in their meal. He is represented by a personal injury attorney, according to the news provider.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, 54th Street Grille serves American casual cuisine and operates 16 locations in the greater Kansas City and St. Louis metropolitan areas, according to its website.
